Designed & Manufactured in Britain

In 2016, we became the first materials handling company to be accepted into the Made in Britain campaign, an initiative created to support and promote British manufacturing. In fact, our solutions are both designed and manufactured by our team of experts at Advanced Handling HQ, a purpose-built, state-of-the-art building in Peterborough.
Our close working environment provides us with the flexibility to deliver our Bespoke service, ensuring our customers’ requirements are met whilst maintaining our high “Made in Britain” standards.

Quality Policy Statement

A primary objective of Advanced Handling must be to maintain and consciously raise our quality standards, therefore to be seen by our customers as a premier supplier of products and services. The quality of the products and services delivered by the Company is directly attributable to the effort and commitment of the people working in the business.

Quality is not singularly a management issue, but one of overall culture and care. It is the responsibility of management to prioritise quality and of each individual to follow company quality procedures. More importantly all employees must adopt a pro-active approach to improving every aspect of quality within the business.

Policy / Action statements

  • To control quality we must, as far as is reasonably possible, ensure that:

  • Adequate resources/training are in place and recorded to ensure that proper provision can be made for Quality
  • Quality standards for products and services are clearly defined and available
  • All products are inspected and tested after assembly and before dispatching. The tests are carried out and recorded by trained operators in the respective area, who are responsible and accountable for their accuracy
  • Customer requirements, particularly relating to bespoke products, are correctly interpreted
  • No product leaves the factory unless it meets our quality standards
  • Sub-standard product is rejected and reviewed
  • Performance is monitored through measures such as the regular analysis of delivery times, warranty returns and customer feedback

2) To improve quality we will ensure that:

  • Any person within the business is empowered to raise service or product quality issues formally and have them reviewed. The review must formally conclude the recommended resolution of any issue
  • New products will be designed using a structured methodology to ensure company quality standards are achievable in production.
  • Out-sourced products and components will be reviewed and re-specified/redrawn and supply contracts agreed to ensure company quality standards are met.
  • The quality policy must be reviewed a least annually to make sure the policy remains an affective/accurate account of our quality goals.
