Pronomic Lifting Trolley stars in BBC’s Inside the Factory

Advanced Handling staff were excited to see our Pronomic 90E lifting trolley starring in BBC’s Inside the Factory documentary which was exploring how Kendal Mint Cake was made at the George Romney Factory in Kendal, Cumbria.
-
Overview
George Romney invested in a number of Pronomic 90E Lifting Trolleys featuring a bespoke stainless steel tray attachment specifically designed and manufactured by Advanced Handling to lift and transport their copper pans containing the Kendal Mint Cake mixture (melted sugar, glucose and water) from their cooking station and to the production bay where it is then tipped using the Pronomic 90E and decanted into the moulds.
As you can see from the video, the application is extremely precarious and potentially dangerous therefore they relied on the solution being not only efficient but extremely smooth, safe, and reliable especially in their space-restricted factory.
- Narrow wheelbase – Easy to manoeuvre through tight spaces and door frames.
- Interchangeable attachments – Such as a boom, Expand & Turn and Squeeze & Turn for lifting and handling reels and rolls and then trays, forks and containers. There is even a weighing scale attachment option!
- High lifting capacities – from 90kg, all the way up to 325kg.
- Smooth operation – Which makes tasks such as the lifting of molten hot liquid, easy and safe to carry out.
- Easy operation – Can turn a two-person task into a one-person task whilst still following health and safety rules.
- Stainless steel option – Compliant with food and drink manufacturing regulations.
