Advanced Handling designed a set of bespoke mezzanine lifts, one to take materials up to the mezzanine floor and the other one to transport the finished product back down to the ground floor.
The Goods lifts featured a load capacity of 2000kg each, usable platform size of 5900 x 1900mm and a lift height of 5000mm. Each goods lift has different loading patterns based on the purpose and the layout of the space to make loading and unloading smoother.
Having two goods lifts side by side allows each side to be optimised for it’s primary use, however both sides can be used for both purposes when required.
Advanced Handling designed a bespoke mezzanine lift solution tailored to Bhaktivedanta Manor’s unique requirements.
The lift featured a load capacity of 500kg, useable platform size of 1450 x 1225mm and a lift height of 3360mm, optimised to fit within the limited space.
Providing a safe, efficient solution for moving items between floors, overcoming the challenge of limited space and enabling the staff to access stored items.

The Reach plus in your industry
The option for stainless steel on all of our bespoke items allows the unit to be used in clean room environments such as food & drink manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
The Reach ULTIMATE goods lifts can be used to carry pallet loads of finished products or ingredients, or equipment, up and down from a mezzanine floor or second floor. The lift’s platform can be manufactured in stainless steel so it complies with regulations, is non-corrosive and can be washed.
With musculoskeletal injuries in mind, the following is a useful, but not exhaustive, list of situations that commonly arise in the manufacturing and engineering sectors during the production process:
• Repeated manipulation of the load at a distance from the trunk of the body.
• Repeated bending of the trunk to lift the load.
• A very large load that is difficult to grasp.
• Repeated handling of the load above shoulder height or at floor level.
• Lifting that involves twisting of the trunk.
• The load needs to be carried over a long distance through a cluttered or hazardous area.
When manual handling activities involve such risks of injury (particularly to the back) due to unfavourable ergonomic conditions, the basic principle of UK regulations is that the employer must take measures to reduce or eliminate the risk of injury.
The Reach ULTIMATE goods lift is designed specifically to transport standard sized pallets from manufacturing, to and from storage on a mezzanine or first floor. If a standard specification doesn’t tick all your boxes, we also specialise in bespoke configurations, working collaboratively with you to ensure your end solution is perfect for your company, employees and products.
Advanced Handling displayed a genuine care aspect and a real interest in meeting our objectives. Â I had a great sense of reassurance knowing that Advanced Handling had the confidence and experience to exceed our expectations and most importantly would not let us down.
