Who are Regency Glass?

Founded in 1983, Regency Glass has grown into one of the UK’s leading suppliers of processed glass. Offering a comprehensive range of sealed units and toughened glass, they cater to both domestic and commercial markets, consistently delivering high-quality products across the country.
-
The Challenge
To keep up with market demand, instead of a costly expansion or facility upgrade, Regency glass installed a mezzanine floor. The floor was installed to enable them to utilise the space they have in their current facility by moving some of the production up to the new mezzanine floor. Regency glass contacted Advanced Handling to ask for some advice on how they can transport their heavy loads between the levels without slowing their production down.
-
The Solution
Advanced Handling designed a set of bespoke mezzanine lifts, one to take materials up to the mezzanine floor and the other one to transport the finished product back down to the ground floor.
The Goods lifts featured a load capacity of 2000kg each, usable platform size of 5900 x 1900mm and a lift height of 5000mm. Each goods lift has different loading patterns based on the purpose and the layout of the space to make loading and unloading smoother.
Having two goods lifts side by side allows each side to be optimised for it’s primary use, however both sides can be used for both purposes when required.
-
The Benefits
With their new mezzanine goods lift, Recency glass are now able to efficiently and safely extend their operations on to their mezzanine floor without the safety risk and extra time taken to manually carry the materials up to the floor and back, allowing them to adapt to the demand in the market and keep costs down by utilising the space they already have.
