What is the difference between a goods passenger lift and a goods lift?
A goods passenger lift, also known as an attendant operated goods lift, allows a trained operator to travel with the load. A standard goods lift is designed to transport goods only and does not permit personnel to travel inside the lift car.
How many stops can a goods passenger lift serve?
A goods passenger lift can be designed to serve as many stops as your building requires. What maintenance does a goods passenger lift require?
A goods passenger lift should be services regularly to keep it safe, compliant and operating reliably. In the UK, lifts must undergo a thorough examination in line with LOLER at least every 6 months when carrying passengers. Installation time varies depending on the specification, number of stops and site conditions, but most goods passenger lifts are typically installed within 1 ro 2 days, helping minimise disruption to your operations.
Do i need a goods passenger lift instead of a standard goods lift?
If a trained operator needs to travel with the load between floors, you will require a goods passenger lift. A standard goods lift is designed for goods only and is not compliant for personnel travel, whereas an attendant operated goods lift is specifically engineered to safely carry both goods and an authorised operator.
