In 2016, we became the first materials handling company to be accepted into the Made in Britain campaign, an initiative created to support and promote British manufacturing. In fact, our solutions are both designed and manufactured by our team of experts at Advanced Handling HQ, a purpose-built, state-of-the-art building in Peterborough.
Our close working environment provides us with the flexibility to deliver our Bespoke service, ensuring our customers’ requirements are met whilst maintaining our high “Made in Britain” standards.

Advanced Handling are proud product sponsors of the pioneering BLOODHOUND SSC Project, supporting the team with materials handling equipment.

BLOODHOUND SSC is a unique high-technology UK project to design and construct a car that will break the 1,000mph barrier and inspire the next generation about science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The BLOODHOUND SSC Project contacted leading UK manufacturer of materials handling lifting solutions regarding scissor lift tables. After a site visit, Advanced Handling were able to supply three mobile scissor lift tables from the heavy duty range and one light duty stacker.

The scissor lift tables have a load capacity of 800kg and are being used by the team as working platforms for moving tools and parts. The mobile scissor lift is fitted with a total stop brake as standard to prevent the table from moving when loading and unloading and is EN1570 certified.

In addition to the mobile scissor lifts, Advanced Handling have also supplied a light duty manual hydraulic stacker designed and manufactured by the team at their UK factory. This robust stacker is capable of lifting and lowering loads up to 250kg and is manoeuvrable and easy to use.

Just like BLOODHOUND, Advanced Handling are a UK team of technical engineers and manufacturing employees that love a challenge, enjoy bespoke manual handling projects and are keen to promote engineering and science to support continued innovation across UK industry.

Technical Director, David Goss, a member of The Institution of Engineering & Technology commented;

“Engineering progresses, as we would expect, and it’s very important for us to encourage younger people into this career. Projects such as this, (BLOODHOUND) help communicate the exciting results of engineering – we solve problems through design and then actually make the solution – British engineering has been leading these pioneering projects for centuries.”

The team at Advanced Handling are embracing their sponsorship of the BLOODHOUND adventure by encompassing the spirit of innovation and inspiration throughout their product solutions and services.
