Advanced Handling is proud to be sponsoring Priory Parkside’s Under 9 football team for the 2020 to 2021 football season as part of their corporate social responsibility programme.

Since forming in 1978, Priory Parkside has grown considerably seeing 8,000 young, enthusiastic footballers pass through their doors and play for one of their fourteen teams across Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire. Some of these players have gone onto play semi-professionally and even professionally in the FA Cup final!

These outstanding achievements have been recognised when they were awarded the English FA Standard Charter Award for the club’s commitment to providing a safe and fun environment for young footballers.

As is more and more the case for local teams, Priory Parkside relies on the support they receive from their sponsors and from volunteers to keep them running which is why Advanced Handling Ltd has chosen to sponsor them to ensure they can continue to provide this fantastic opportunity for young, keen footballers.

Steven Davies, the manager of the under-9s team, said:

“I would like to say thank you to Advanced Handling for giving my team the opportunity to look smart and professional every time they play football.

“It brings them closer as a team and helps with that team bond which is so important at this early stage of their development. It helps them to feel like they are part of a club and to want to put their kit on every week and feel proud.

“It’s great that a local company like yourselves has the kindness and goodwill to help out a local team. It has really meant a lot to us to have a kit at such an early age.”

Andy White, the chairman of Priory Parkside added:

“From a club perspective, it’s fantastic that people like yourselves help and sponsor teams. It means so much to the youngsters to have their own team kit – I know that thrill from experience! My lad Eric’s played at Priory U7-U14 and I played too from 1979-84, although back in my day our kits were a bit shabby.”

Mike Prince, Managing Director here at Advanced Handling commented:

“We wish all the teams at Priory Parkside FC a successful 2020/21 season and thank you for letting Advanced Handling be a part of the Priory Parkside community”.

All at Advanced Handling wish them luck in their upcoming matches and for their overall season.
