Who is CueSim?

CueSim manufacture advanced helicopter simulators world-wide. Their unique selling point is the use of a standard ‘pod’, which house projectors, display screens and interchangeable cockpits of different helicopters, providing high fidelity helicopter flight training with minimum maintenance costs and maximum reliability.

  • The Challenge:

CueSim approached Advanced Handling to help solve their manual handling issue.

  • The Solution:

After initial discussions, it became clear a bespoke solution was required with a Scissor Table which could function in three ways:

    – To act as an aid to loading and unloading the cockpit modules with the use of a roller bed and winch.

    – To act as a working platform with a solid deck to stand on with hand rails all around.

    – To act as a maintenance platform for the cockpit modules with access from underneath the table.

The table measured 2.7m long by 2.2m wide with a closed height of 1.4m, a raised height of 3.1m and capacity of 1,500kg.

  • The Benefits:

The scissor lift met all three requirements proving an invaluable tool to CueSum.
