5 reasons why a sales visit from us could leave you better off
We have a lot of enquiries about our intelligent handling systems coming in every day and, unless the customer’s requirement is very straightforward, we almost always recommend a sales visit.
We are frequently asked why this is necessary. So, if you’ve ever wondered why you shouldn’t just decide what you need and order it, read on….

1. A wealth of practical experience
We see many different factories, production applications and other environments that use manual handling equipment every week. We’ve recommended and installed our overhead lifting systems, lightweight lifting trolleys and stackers, light duty and heavy duty goods lifts, intelligent lifting tables and many other different custom-built bespoke manual handling solutions. This means that we are in a much better position to be able to advise. We’ve seen what works well and what doesn’t. We know which factors can cause complications and we can think of ways round them. We’ll be able to weigh up all the different options and supply you with the best solution.

2. We’re the experts
You wouldn’t employ just anyone to mend your electric system or your company fleet of vehicles. You would ensure that you use experts, people who are properly qualified and experienced to ensure that their work is safe, accurate and of a high quality. The same applies to the significant investment that you make in your materials handling equipment. You need to make sure that your employees are safe and that your equipment complies with all machinery legislation and regulations. We have over 40 years of experience, we know the regulations like the back of our hand and we understand all types of lifting equipment. We will ensure that your equipment is fit for purpose, safe, robust, reliable and that it complies with all legislation.

3. We’re a “one-stop shop”, selling solutions not products
Many materials handling companies only offer a particular type of manual handling unit. They try to pigeon-hole your requirement into the products they are selling whilst they know full well that something sold by another company would be a better fit for you. They are selling products as opposed to a solution. We offer a vast range of different manual handling solutions from a range of different partners. Each of these partners specialise in their particular equipment type, and together we can design and manufacture every option under one roof – a one-stop shop. We won’t be doing any pigeon-holing. We will sell you something that will work.

4. We offer bespoke solutions
The problem with looking through materials handling equipment and selecting something that you think will work is that it is limiting. You will need to make your requirement “fit” the equipment. This is the wrong way round. The solution should “fit” the requirement. As well as offering every type of manual lifting equipment, if nothing standard is suitable, we will design and manufacture bespoke solutions: equipment built specifically to match your need. High profile customers that return to us again and again for all sorts of different bespoke solutions are testament to this – please see our customers page. Examples include bespoke baggage trailers for Eurostar, bespoke pit-mounted lifting tables for Coca Cola and a street to cellar goods lift for the oldest wines and spirits retailer in England.

5. Sometimes, we won’t sell you anything at all
Having a sales visit doesn’t mean you will be talked into spending a fortune. Our salespeople are trained to help our customers to solve their manual handling difficulties. They would rather build up long-term trusting relationships with customers than make a fast sale. They visit hundreds of different production lines, manufacturing processes and packaging applications every year and their role is to discuss every detail relating to manual handling difficulties and work with customers to find solutions. Gaining valuable experience and knowledge along the way, they may be able to suggest straightforward changes or reorganisation of your equipment and processes that mean that manual handling equipment is no longer required. Or by reorganising applications and looking at things differently, the solution they suggest may be much cheaper than the original equipment you had selected and were expecting to pay for.
So please give us a call or fill in the enquiry form on our website and look forward to meeting your account manager, who will apply all our knowledge and experience to assess your requirement and offer you our solution. We look forward to hearing from you!
