Who is DS Smith?

DS Smith Packaging, part of DS Smith Plc, is an international supplier of recycled packaging for consumer goods with a turnover of £2 billion and a workforce of over 22,000 people. Efficient material handling operations are on the top of their agenda.

The Challenge

With the purchase of a new production line at their facility in Belper, Derbyshire, DS Smith created the need for further manual handling equipment to ensure they maintained their high levels of health and safety and productivity.

The Solution

After consultations with DS Smith, Advanced Handling manufactured and supplied two bespoke Static Scissor Lifts both fitted with an ‘auto-levelling adjustment’ feature and protective bellow skirt.
