Training Video Released

In order to comply with the strict guidelines which have been put in place by the American National Standards Institute people who operate aerial work platforms such as mobile scissor lifts and other manual handling equipment will need to conduct pre-start inspections before using the machinery each and every day before using it.

Because of this the American Work Platform Training has recently put together an informative video on how to conduct the various materials handling equipment safety inspections thoroughly.  It’s hoped that by releasing the video it can help to improve the level of heath and safety in the workplace across the world.

These safety videos can be viewed and downloaded online, and there are two versions- one on the inspections that need to be carried out when operating scissor lifts, and one on the inspections needed for boom lifts.  Both videos are around 13 minutes long, and while both videos are intended for use in the US and Canada they offer good safety advice for people living all over the globe.

The videos instruct viewers on how to properly inspect the various types of lifting machinery, and how to test the various functions which both need to be carried out at the start of the day, or at the beginning of every shift before using the equipment.

Alternatively, if you want to ensure the highest levels of safety in your workplace why not think about hiring a fully qualified company to come in and show your employees how to conduct the various safety procedures instead. Advanced Handling have been designing and manufacturing various lifting solutions for over 30 years, and have now teamed up with an ATT accredited training company named Advanced Fork Truck Training.

The training you and your staff will receive will be taught by a highly qualified instructor with more than 20 years of experience in the field of instruction, to provide you and your employees with the knowledge on how to conduct the right safety checks properly.

When your staff know how to use and operate the lifting solutions safely, as well as perform the necessary safety procedures it can significantly improve the level of safety in the working environment. By making sure that all staff are trained to a high standard it helps to avoid the damage an accident and its implications can have on your business.

The AFTT are also able to provide your managers and supervisors with the necessary training that’s needed to oversee that everyone in the workplace is performing their various safety checks and measures as they should.

Accidents in the workplace not only cause you financially to suffer as a result due to having to pay for sick pay, decreased productivity and in fixing any damaged machinery but it can also damage your businesses’ long term reputation, as well as put you behind on your various project completion dates.
