PROJECT OUTLINE
Coca Cola Enterprises, Milton Keynes process approximately 350 vending machines every week. In order for each of their 13 specially trained engineers to work safely and comfortably at their work station they require the vending machine to be lifted up to a height of around 1˝m from the ground. Previously, this was achieved using a modified pump truck which would allow each machine to be raised to a sufficient height to enable placement on top of a surface mounted scissor lift table. This meant inefficiencies as each machine had to be double handled and the modified pump trucks employed proved to be unreliable.
Advanced Handling were approached to provide a solution which would replace the current layout with bespoke ‘pit mounted’ tables. This would allow the vending machines to be placed directly on the table surface and remove the element of double handling completely. Advanced Handlings Technical Designers worked alongside Dell Leslie-Dell, Loss Control Manager for Coca Cola Enterprises, to ensure that the equipment supplied not only achieved this objective but also that it met all the latest Health and Safety regulations.
“We have been very impressed with the service that Advanced Handling were able to offer” says Dell, “They also ensured that they were present to ensure the installation was completed without issue”. In all Advanced Handling supplied thirteen ‘pit mounted’ static scissor lift tables each with a capacity of 1000kg and lifting to a height of 1600mm.
Advanced Handling has a team of Technical Sales and Design Engineers dedicated in providing optimum, often bespoke, solutions to cover a wide range of materials handling issues. They can also provide an after sales support service to ensure that any equipment supplied is always performing at its optimum level.
