What is the Bhaktivedanta Manor?

Bhaktivedanta Manor is a spiritual sanctuary. It is one of the main centers for the international society for Krishna Consciousness in the UK. It is a key hub for spiritual, cultural and community activities, especially for the followers of the Krishna movement.

The manor is a place of worship, cultural celebration and community gathering. Donated by George Harrison, the lead guitarist in the beetles.

The Challenge

The team at Bhaktivedanta Manor needed to address a logistics challenge. They were seeking to relocate various products from an offsite storage facility to an attic within the manor to allow for immediate, on-site access. However, this attic space presented major constraints.

Not only was the space limited, but accessing it was a challenge due to it’s tight layout. While many handling companies were consulted, none could provide a viable solution due to the complexity of the space.

Advanced Handling stood out as the only company willing to tackle these challenges and design an efficient solution.
The Solution

Advanced Handling designed a bespoke mezzanine lift solution tailored to Bhaktivedanta Manor’s unique requirements.

The lift featured a load capacity of 500kg, useable platform size of 1450 x 1225mm and a lift height of 3360mm, optimised to fit within the limited space.

Providing a safe, efficient solution for moving items between floors, overcoming the challenge of limited space and enabling the staff to access stored items.

With the new mezzanine lift in place, Bhaktivedanta Manor can now access their stored items on-site efficiently and securely.

This has streamlined operations, ensuring that essential goods and materials are readily available whenever needed.

This lift has eliminated the need for remote storage, significantly reducing time, saving money and enhancing operational efficiency within the manor.
